Paintwork peeling or flaking is often caused by water content on the surface of wall or ceiling, poor surface preparation, low quality paint etc.
Repair Method
Check for any signs of water seepage and rectify it if there is. Scrape off the flaking or peeling paint. Sand the surface and clean off the dust. If there is any crack, patch the crack with suitable filler. Make sure the surface is even. The surface has to be free from grease, dirt and dust.
The container of paint must be stirred thoroughly before use. Apply a coat of sealer to the prepared surface. Followed by a undercoat and a finishing coat.Allow appropriate drying time in between the coats.
